Wireless components
FL Bluetooth access point
The Factory Line Bluetooth AP is available for the wireless integration of Ethernet-compatible automation components in an Ethernet network.
Since data is forwarded transparent to protocol, both IP and Layer 2 Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET can be transmitted. The robust Bluetooth standard allows stable and reliable communication even under the harshest industrial conditions.
Bluetooth also makes it possible to operate a large number of wireless connections locally at the same time and the special coexistence functions mean that it can be operated without interference parallel to WLAN systems in acc. with 802.11 b/g.
Three different operating modes are available: Access Point for up to seven devices, Ethernet Client Adapter, Serial Bluetooth COM Server. The net data throughput is up to 400 kbps. The startup is fast and simple thanks to autoconfiguration, and individual adaptations are made via the Web interface. With two FL Bluetooth AP modules, it is possible to set up an encoded connection between two Ethernet devices without additional configuration.
In industrial halls, the range is 50 m to 100 m and up to 200 m outside.

FL WLAN
A fully-equipped high-speed wireless access point to the system network is provided by the WLAN, standardized in accordance with IEEE 802.11.
The IEEE 802.11-compatible components are integrated in the automation system via a WLAN Access Point. If your devices have an Ethernet port instead of a WLAN interface, they can be integrated with the aid of a WLAN Ethernet client.
Our WLAN components feature the following characteristics: Web-based management, prioritization of the network traffic as well as excellent diagnostics.

WLAN solutions are particularly suited for:
. Mobile operation and monitoring
. Fast communication from controller to controller (e.g. with electrical overhead suspended rail systems or unmanned transport systems)
. Realtime I/O data traffic with PROFINET I/O systems
. Redundant systems
