Open for device parameterization - AutomationXplorer+

The variety of tools in system construction can be reduced by using AutomationXplorer+.

The FDT/DTM technology developed under the umbrella of the Profibus Nutzerorganisation (PNO) and ZVEI not only specifies a uniform, standardized interface between software interfaces, but also between communication drivers for different networks. FDT (Field Device Tool) therefore stands for a management or engineering system that integrates device user interfaces - so-called DTMs (Device Type Managers).

Phoenix Contact is a member of the international FDT Group. The DTMs from Phoenix Contact have been certified by independent laboratories.

Any DTMs from different manufacturers can be integrated in the AutomationXplorer+.

Devices and sensors/actuators can be parameterized and conveniently diagnosed in point-to-point communication, as well as across network borders, e.g. via Ethernet, INTERBUS, Profibus, HARD and, in the future, also via PROFINET IO or the IO link protocol.

DTM call via TCI interface

To connect FDT-compliant device operating interfaces (DTMs) to engineering systems with a TCI interface, the AutomationXplorer+ can be called up directly from the engineering system. Thus, in this case, too, the complete versatility of the available DTMs can be exploited.

AUTOMATIONWORX DTM library

The corresponding DTMs for controllers, I/O modules, as well as gateway devices, which connect different network protocols to each other, are available in a library. This convenient integration in the AutomationXplorer+ allows for optimum communication with the termination device.
