Signal towers for the clear indication of machine states

The signal towers from the PSD (Phoenix Signaling Devices) product range enable clear status indication for machines and systems.

They feature a modular design and tool-free installation, and always provide precise information about current operating states, faults, and any impending critical states.

Optical signal elements

When it comes to optical signal elements, we offer a wide range of signals to choose from. Available in five different colors, we offer various signal types, such as steady light, flashlight, etc.

The signal indicators are available with both light bulb and future-oriented LED technology which provides a service life of up to 100,000 maintenance-free hours with low energy consumption.

Audible signal elements

Signaling can also be supported by an audible signaling device,
e.g., for machines or system parts that are not easily visible. Buzzer and siren elements with up to eight different continuous and pulse tones, as well as a voice output element are available to choose from.

For multi-tone elements, the tones can be selected either using up to three control lines or via internal DIP switches.

Depending on the audible element, the volume can be adjusted manually via a potentiometer or it is adjusted automatically to the ambient volume level.

Wireless elements

Using the WIN wireless system (Wireless Information Network), it is possible to simultaneously and centrally monitor and evaluate the state of up to 50 machines, and store the data in a database.

This significantly reduces response times in the event of failure and the productivity of the machines is evaluated and increased using appropriate measures.

The status of a single tower outside of the line of sight can be mirrored to another signal tower using the wireless multiplexer set as an alternative to the WIN wireless system.

Connection and mounting elements

The signal tower portfolio is completed by a wide range of connection and mounting elements, which ensure optimum mounting of the signal towers according to the conditions.

You can choose from the following elements:

  • Base mounting
The signal tower is mounted on an angled connector or outlet box, or directly on a surface.

  • Tube mounting
The signal tower is first mounted on a tube with a foot. The foot can then either be mounted on an angled connector or directly on a surface. A foldaway base can be used to also mount the signal towers on angled surfaces.
