Sensor/actuator cabling - PLUSCON field
In distributed connection methods, passive distributor systems connect the peripheral devices and the PLC controller. Phoenix Contact offers the most comprehensive range of sensor/actuator cabling on the market.
Passive M5, M8 and M12 cabling, complete with distributor boxes, cables and connectors for assembly, can normally be supplied from stock. To be able to react flexibly to your wishes, conductors and boxes can be variably manufactured with specific conductor lengths and types (e.g. other sheath color).
Sensor/Actuator cable
The M8 product range comprises 3 to 6-position cables in unshielded and shielded versions. This enables easy mounting even in confined spaces.
Sensor/Actuator Boxes
The master cable is designed as a hybrid cable and already contains the power supply and the control lines for the sensors or actuators. The distributors are available with 4, 6 or 8 slots. A maximum of 16 sensors or actuators can be connected to a double-occupied box.
Sensor/Actuator plugs
For connection on the device side, M12/M8 flush-type sockets and plugs are available. All connectors for free assembly offer a consistently good signal transmission even under harsh environmental conditions.
Sensor/actuator cabling for the food industry
All metallic components are made from high-grade steel 1.4404 in order to fulfill these requirements. Plastics used are safe from the toxicological point of view. Plastics used (PVC cables and handle materials) are listed in American FDA Guidelines (Food and Drug Administration).
