Engine production
With our tested special function modules with pluggable connection method, engine production can be quickly adapted to other variants.
The installation cost is considerably reduced since mechatronic units can be directly installed on machines without terminal boxes.
Modular automation minimizes creation, commissioning and modification times
In order to reduce these costs, Phoenix Contact has integrated different tasks such as load switching, motor protection and potential routing in one function unit that can be easily commissioned, quickly replaced and reused in other applications.
Since the units comply with the IP54 degree of protection and can be directly installed on the machine, no control cabinets or wiring are required.

Detailed information about the Ethernet network
Our Managed Switches support the SNMP standard protocol and web-based management, so that detailed configuration and diagnostic information for commissioning, operation and maintenance is available on every computer installed in the network.
Even large data volumes can be transmitted in realtime if devices of the Gigabit (GT) series are used.

High availability thanks to precise diagnostics
Orientation in larger systems is considerably simplified since data created within the scope of network configuration is displayed (e.g. station names or comments).
During commissioning, the cabling of the fieldbus system can be checked by the software and production can be started faster.

Simple signal acquisition directly in the field
Thanks to their small design width, they can also be directly installed in the field even in confined spaces. The Speedcon fast connection technology and the ergonomic layout of stations reduce the installation time considerably.
With an extension of up to 20 meters, the high-performance local bus also contributes towards reducing the installation costs.

A modular terminal block system for all connection methods
The 2 to 50-pos. plug-in bridges make it possible to implement all the tasks of potential bridging within a very short time. Logistics costs have been reduced since bridging, marking and testing accessories are standardized. Larger labeling helps in a faster maintenance.
