Modular Managed Switch MMS

Many industrial applications require the data to be transmitted in realtime. In order to be able to do this, high network availability is an absolute must. The occurrence of installation and operational faults must be ruled out as far as possible, or the faults must be found and remedied fast. In addition, the transmission method chosen (10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s, half or full duplex) and the priority of the data must be simple to configure.

We make Ethernet simple - With the MMS modular managed switch

Lots of things are complicated. This statement is frequently true of industrial networks, and they can often be unmanageable for an untrained user. This is why we have used our long and comprehensive experience in field communication and in the automation of machines and plants to design a simple Ethernet solution. Factory Line from Phoenix Contact is a complete range for the configuration of communication concepts on an Ethernet basis. This portfolio is rounded off by customized service packages for each phase of the life cycle of a machine or system.

One outstanding feature of our MMS modular managed switch is, for example, its ability to easily adapt to a change in the application environment. If more ports are required, the head station can be extended to a maximum of 24 ports by using two add-on modules. These can be housed without difficulty in a terminal box. Depending on the environmental conditions, the user can choose between twisted pair and glass fiber as transmission medium, or he can choose the more economic HCS and polymer fibers. With twisted pair wiring, the vibration-proof Push-Pull locking of the RJ 45 connector guarantees additional protection against mechanical stress, vibration and shock.  DIN rail mounting and pluggable connection systems simplify the installation of the MMS and all Factory Line products.
