Function par excellence

Dynamic configuration continues the modular concept at the machine level. For you this means: You can specify the maximum extension with the aid of a configuration program. You then select the actual physically connected modules and activate these devices in the control program.
Using this feature, you can, for example, design machines with both a basic module and an extension module that is only connected when required.

Integration of acyclical services

Since the acyclical services are supported both in PROFIBUS (DP/V1) and in the local bus (PCP), modules with a high parameterization depth can be implemented. In this way it is possible to send extensive diagnosis and parameter data without influencing the regular process data cycle.

Seamless diagnostics

A precise network analysis of the PROFIBUS reflects the quality of the installation and if carried out at regular intervals, allows weak points in the PROFIBUS network to be detected at an early stage. With up to 20 m, the local bus is a major part of the bus system. In order to extend network diagnostics to the local bus, a method has been created, that allows a permanent evaluation of the quality of the local bus.
Disturbance variables in data transmission are thus recognized in good time and can be remedied before there is a machine failure.

With targeted activation of various functions, you can adapt the FIELDLINE Modular PROFIBUS bus coupler ideally to suit your requirements and ultimately your automation concept.

Fieldline Modular - The system

High numbers of I/O nodes and the networking of complex I/O functions necessitate modular acquisition at one bus node. This reduces the number of bus nodes and consequently the bus load in the case of message-oriented bus systems. FIELDLINE Modular captures digital and analog I/O data and bundles it to form a complete I/O map. Installation is flexible, thus saving time and costs.
The integrated SPEEDCON connection system cuts connection times by up to 90%.
