Valve connector cables with varistor protective circuit

The valve connector range from Phoenix Contact has been extended to include types with a varistor protective circuit for 24 V AC/DC.

Varistors differ from Zener diodes in particular with regard to dropout delay and overvoltage switch-off.

Varistors feature response times of under a nanosecond and, in the event of surge voltages, can absorb large amounts of energy without being destroyed.

Functional design with integrated seal

The user therefore has more options for ordering a valve connector directly from stock from Phoenix Contact, which features interference suppression measures that are tailored to the user's inductive loads. The housing is molded with the same type of black transparent TPU material as used in existing types and together with the high-contrast status LEDs it also offers maximum protection against various different types of oil, water, and other media.

The range includes types A, B(I), and C(I), each with an LED for the switching state. In addition to the halogen-free black 0.5 mm² PUR cable, another special feature is the functional design with integrated seal.

Further cable types with a cable cross-section of 0.75 mm², other sheath materials and colors, and additional protective circuits for other voltage ranges are available on request.
