ME MAX modular component housing

The ME MAX product range usually comprises housing widths from 12.5 mm to 45 mm. The housing width can be increased as per the space requirement by aligning the intermediate elements with 17.5 mm or 22.5 mm pitch.

In order to adjust the height of the modules as per the space requirements of the electronic system, standard, flat and super-flat housing designs are available.

A functional earth ground contact that can be installed on the floor of the housing connects the inserted PCB directly with the grounded DIN rail.

Over up to three connection levels, the MAX housings provide plenty of space for maximum PCB connection. Soldered PCB terminal blocks and removable COMBICON connectors in screw and spring-cage versions with 3.5 mm and 5 mm pitches are available for maximum flexibility.

Housing design widths 6.2 mm can be provided for device versions with especially low space requirements. This is available with either screw connection or spring-cage connection.

Both housing half-shells can be mounted without tools by simply being snapped together. Large front surfaces with transparent cover and modifiable fitted cover make the device design practical.

The combination with the DIN rail bus connector enables a device-to-device connection without additional wiring. Connectors with a 3.81 pitch are suitable for transmission of bus and control signals as well as for ground and power supply. It is inserted directly in the standard DIN rail and the devices are levered on in the usual manner. The communications and power signals automatically make contact by simply being snapped together.
