INTERFACE Cabling - System cabling and wiring interface
A wide range of automation devices are used for control processes. Whether it is just a small system with few I/O signals or a complex power station that is being put into operation, what they all have in common is that the signals from the automation device must be connected to the field level in an industrially compatible manner. INTERFACE Cabling offers two wiring variants, firstly the VARIOFACE system cabling and secondly the VARIOFACE wiring interface.

The VARIOFACE system cabling is a cabling concept that was specially developed for connecting to various automation devices. The system cabling comprises three harmonized components:
- Front Adapter
- System Cable
- Controller board
Quick, fault-free and uniform I/O wiring is possible with the aid of these three components. By selecting suitable modules, it is possible to realize various functions, such as a through connection, power amplification or signal conditioning.
VARIOFACE wiring interfaces are for universal use. Various interface modules with a 1:1 connection from a high-position plug connector to a different connection method are available. A rational connection to a control device with protection against reverse polarity can be realized with the aid of pre-assembled cables. A variety of potential distributors are available for splitting the control and operating voltage. Multi-channel relay / optocoupler modules can be used to adapt current and voltage signals between the field and automation level.

Advantages of VARIOFACE
- Optimum adaption of the interface to the given cabling and connection requirements
- Individual realization of adaptation functions such as electrical isolation, level matching, signal amplification
- Simple and quick assembly on all common EN rails
- Easy planning
- Fast system startup and debugging thanks to clear cabling as well as clear identification of modules and positions
- Saves space thanks to the high packing density of the compact modules
