COMBI - pluggable connection solutions

COMBI connectors are designed for high and universal demands as regards pluggability. The nominal current of the connected conductor can be always carried through the plug-in contact. The uniform plug-in zone is an important characteristic . Thanks to the uniform plug-in zone, the connectors and basic terminal blocks with four connection methods can be freely combined with each other.

The modular structure additionally enables individual self-assembly of the connectors and the couplings. All kinds of copper conductors can be connected without pretreatment. Splicing protection can also be used in the form of ferrules. COMBI connectors of all connection methods offer a large insertion space, i.e. conductors with ferrules having a nominal cross section can also be wired.

Material properties

All metal parts of the COMBI connectors are made of corrosion-free materials. The distinction between the electrical and mechanical functions is especially advantageous. The current-carrying metals consist of high-grade copper alloys.

The surface is protected by a lead-free, galvanic nickel or tin plating. The high current carrying capacity of the contact is achieved by an integrated overspring made of chromium-nickel spring steel.

The insulating housings of the COMBI connectors are made of recyclable polyamide 6.6.

This elastic plastic with high impact strength is halogen-free and UV-resistant. Further characteristics are the good tropical and termite resistance, high chemical resistance and the excellent aging characteristics.

Polyamide 6.6 can be used with operating temperatures up to 130°C and is certified for the inflammability class V0 in accordance with UL 94.
