Conductor marking

Clear marking of all conductors and cables considerably improves the transparency in control cabinets and control and switchgear. This makes the assembly and maintenance work easier and help in rectifying faults. Standard-compliant and permanent conductor marking is not a luxury, but rather a quality standard for modern high-quality capital goods as required by the customer.

Conductor and cable marking systems from Phoenix Contact offer every user an optimum marking option irrespective of whether the user wants to thread, slide, clip or glue his/her conductor marking or mount it with cable binders.

Depending on the material, the following printers can be used for the individual labeling of the conductor and cable markers:
  • BLUEMARK for the labeling of markers on UniCard sheets
  • THERMOMARK S1 and THERMOMARK X1.1 for markers on roll,
  • THERMOMARK W1 for the printing and perforation of shrink tubes as continuous material,
  • Plotters for the labeling of sheets and sheet material,
  • Commercially available desktop laser printers for the labeling of insert strips on DIN A4 sheets.

For the effective production of elaborate marking as well. The marking data can be processed directly from the circuit diagram using the CLIP PROJECT advanced software. The data is transferred to the output devices such as BLUEMARK, thermal transfer printers or plotters.

If output devices are not available or in case of capacity shortage in your production facility, you can also consult our Labeling Service. We will be glad to accept your printing orders. This also includes engraving or laser marking of high-grade steel cable markers.

Snap-on markers

Snap-on markers
Snap-on markers are ideal for later labeling of conductors and cables. The marking is always legible thanks to the two labeling surfaces. The markers are labeled using BLUEMARK or a plotter.

Polyester foils

As reasonably priced alternatives for conductor and cable marking, highly tear-resistant polyester foils can be printed using thermal transfer printers. The markers are pushed directly onto the conductor or attached with cable binders.

Cable marker labels

Cable marker labels
The cable marking labels consist of a labeling field and a transparent foil that protects the labeling from abrasion and contamination. They are available in different sizes for labeling using thermal transfer or laser printers.

Shrink sleeves

The pre-assembled shrink sleeves are available with or without perforation. They can be labeled using thermal transfer printers. The labeling costs can be reduced considerably for short texts by using the perforated variants.

Continuous shrink tubes

Continuous shrink tubes
The shrink sleeves are also offered as a continuous roll for individual assembly. They can be printed and perforated in one step using the new THERMOMARK W1 printer.

PAB system

The two-section PAB system consists of a labeling collar for sliding or clipping on and an insert label. The insert labels are labeled using the new BLUEMARK printer, thermal transfer printer, plotter or laser printer.

Marker

Marker
The markers labeled with a single character depict the simple marking of conductors having diameter of up to 12 mm. The desired labeling is achieved owing to the combination for sliding on the conductor. Its special shape prevents the individual markers from twisting.

Plastic cable markers

The plastic cable markers are ideal for the bundling and labeling of conductors and cables. The screw cap protects the labeling from contamination. Replacing the insert labels is possible without changing the marker carriers.

High-grade steel markers

High-grade steel markers
Phoenix Contact offers high-grade steel for especially corrosive environments or conductors that are laid in the ground. Labeling can be done using lasers, or by engraving or embossing.
